Your Dog Can’t Do It Alone.

About Us

  • At It Takes Two Dog Training, we believe that successful dog training requires commitment, effort, and teamwork. Just like a personal fitness trainer guides clients toward their goals, we coach and support you in training your dog—not for you, but with you. Our goal is to equip you with the skills and confidence to be your dog’s lifelong trainer. No matter where you go for training, the most important factor remains the same: YOU are the one who will shape your dog’s success!

  • We believe that the best relationships are built on trust, understanding, and teamwork. Our mission is to empower dog owners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to create a lasting bond with their canine companions. Through science-based, compassionate training methods, we help dogs and their humans communicate effectively, fostering well-mannered pets and harmonious households. Because great training isn’t just about the dog—it takes two…and your dog can’t do it alone.

  • Our vision is one of a Philadelphia where every dog owner feels confident, capable, and connected with their canine companion. We strive to redefine dog training as a collaborative journey—one built on trust, education, and dedication. By empowering owners with the knowledge and skills they need, we aim to create lasting, positive relationships between people and their dogs, leading to happier homes and stronger bonds. At It Takes Two Dog Training LLC, we envision a future where every dog has not just a trainer, but a committed, well-equipped human partner for life.

  • Dylan Anderson is the founder of It Takes Two Dog Training LLC and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) with a passion for helping people build strong, lasting relationships with their dogs. His approach to training is all about teamwork—because great training doesn’t just happen to a dog, it happens with them.

Using a reward based methodology, Dylan focuses on effective, humane, and evidence-based techniques tailored to each individual dog. He specializes in obedience, behavior modification, and puppy development, but his ultimate goal is to coach owners so they feel confident as their dog’s lifelong trainer.

In addition to running It Takes Two Dog Training LLC, Dylan is also a trainer for New Leash on Life USA, a program that pairs incarcerated individuals with shelter dogs to provide rehabilitation for both. This experience has deepened his understanding of canine behavior and reinforced his belief that patience, education, and second chances can make all the difference.

Dylan is committed to ongoing education, regularly attending industry seminars to stay current with the latest training methods. He’s well-respected in the community and frequently referred by local veterinarians, pet stores, and rescues.

When he’s not working with clients, Dylan enjoys spending time with his own dogs, Aspen + Winnie—continuing to learn, train, and enjoy the process just like he encourages his clients to do.
